Key search

I looked for my keys for a day. The good set that can be clipped on and has my data stick; yes the key chain that’s much too expensive to lose.
Took my apartment apart. Nada, zilch, nothing. Do have a very clean apartment.

This morning I put my fingers into the part of my pocketbook that I keep them in when out. Had looked 20 times before, though I was confident that they wouldn’t be there because I don’t put them back in my pocketbook. You know the rest!!!

Sometimes I just want to say thank you to the gods of lost objects, even if nothing was ever lost.

And the sun’s coming out. It’s not supposed to come out for days so I know it’s just a tease, but it looks so pretty. It’s yellow, and brightens everything up. My head stops making mold. I’m outta here.

I looked for mine one night for about 30 minutes. Found them in the back pocket of the pants I was wearing. I had never put my keys in my back pocket before.

That is so familiar: I lose my keys all of the time and find them in obvious places where they shouldn’t be.

Damn, I hate losing my keys- and I always seem to.
    It’s so frustrating

I used to lose my keys so often that I got one of those special key rings that beeps when you whistle…cut to, one night at the IMPROV, we’re watching a comic and some woman’s laugh starts setting off my keys. Over and over and over. The comic worked into his act the search for the source of the beeping, took my keys and disassembled the beeper on stage. After that, I just put a little dish by the front door where I keep them when I’m at home.

I have hardly ever lose my keys. (crossed fingers!!) I think because I’m so paranoid about it, being so utterly absent-minded, that I take what are probably anal-retentive obsessive-compulsive precautions.. lol

I do lose other things though, like cell phones, and money..

My Catholic grandmother used to make me pray to the saint who was responsible for lost objects when I was little and I almost always found it. Wish I could remember that saint’s name today!

If it weren’t for rain we would have weather right now. I think we better start building an ark.

I’m puttering around the house one day, doing chores. After collecting a basket of wet laundry I head for the clothesline. (Clothes in the New Mexico sun are almost dry before they reach the line. Save loads of electricity)

Anyway…I can’t find my sunglasses. Crisis of monumental proportions! I scour the house. Look everywhere, shake each dog. No sunglasses.

Just then my husband gets home. “What’s wong?” he asks.

    “I can’t find my sunglasses.”

He smirks. “They’re on top of your head.”

    I slink away.

hehe, well, mouldy, I am glad you found them (don’t worry, I haven’t just invented a new nick name for you. or have I? ;-) )

i lose things all the time, at the moment I keep leaving without my phone, which has disasterous consequences…

Enjoy the rest of your day!

I can only find something I lost if I look for something else.

when i was young and when i lost things, i would always do that little prayer “oh please, god, i’m asking you a favor, please let me find my shit. i’ll never ask another favor.”

and i did that at least 1000 times. so now when i misplace something i always remember that, but i’m pretty careful to not ask for anymore favors. i leave it in the hands of memory and that is scary enough.

Diseuse – my grandmother does the same thing. Everytime she loses something she prays to that Saint and she always finds it. Its freaky.
I found this web site. it might be this. I’m not big into religion, so sorry if it sounds like i’m being one of those “people”
