I saw the preview and thought it would be a request for a reciprocral link; and I would reply with “I blogroll who I feel like blogrolling at that moment in time, and am always plesantly suprised to find myself blogrolled.” Really.
Anyway If I were too reply to it, this is what I would have said:
You spamming bitch, if you going to send out a spamming business letter, you should f**king learn to spell. Bet you’re a male who took a service industry (spam letters) job from an American.” (No offense meant to anybody who lives in an outsourcing country; but we need jobs also.)
CLP dared me to put this in
IF YOU HAVEN’T READ MY SUMMER OF SAM STORY–THE POST BELOW THE ONE BELOW!
How many times have I seen this product in my spam karma? Deleted it before I had spam karma? And they want me to exchange reciprocal links? So I can spam everybody I ever met? I don’t think so.
Took the link out. It’s harmless; you won’t get spammed with it or anything. Just makes me puke. And I had to take out many codes and links.
Are they going through technorati tags, and beginning with the “A”s?
Do people really exchange links with a spammer?

Well that’s really obnoxious. I had no idea people were doing that.
I am so sick of people sending me email about cheap medication, the only thing worse is someone sending me mail that includes pornographic material. It really makes me angry and the thought that they are no doubt also sending this stuff to kids with an email address makes me sick. What happened to that anti spam law?
oh man the cheek!!!
that is quite disgusting. but also it’s amusing in a really sick way…
I now consider everything apart from individual mails or mails to any of the billion mail groups i am on, spam. Anything from gifs of “women walking for cancer” to “viagra works for you” (HELLO!?) goes straight in the bin.
I’ve never gotten a letter like that. What I mostly see is faked referrer headers so you look in your referrer logs (ok, who doesn’t?) and there’s some medication or porn site trying to get noticed. God only knows why they do it — I guess it can boost their google ranking. It’s so incredibly discouraging, at least to this software engineer, that the Internet is so broken.
I get a lot of really weird stuff lately, I usually just delete them. Sometimes they are funny, sometimes just plain idiotic.
I thought this might help you with the obnoxious issue of spam.

thanks. Have everything. This was the first spam letter of that sort though!
I got one of those from a site that cells herbal remedies for menopause. Clearly pertinent to me, don’t you think? I imagine a lot of women looking on that site are hoping to find a really sarcastic man to go read.
The problem is that attempts to weed out the spammers is causing regular readers to get banned from commenting – yeesh
I’ve seen all sorts of things in e-mail spam, but what has horrified me are the people (robots?) who leave comments on my blog. They start with something innocuous like, “Great stories…your blog is really unique” and then move in for the spam kill: “so visit my offensive spamming website, [fill in annoying link here].” Like my (teeny tiny stream of) loyal readers are really going to click through to “Buy Tramadol online.” Anyway, I clicked on your BlogExplosion banner and stumbled into your website just as I was looking for a blog that reads like a story. I like it!
The blog spammers are annoying, I agree. This doesn’t apply to yours as much, but blogger recently added a couple features to cut down on spam- the image verification has gotten rid of my problems (for now at least).
Come now. There are plenty of women who can’t spell. Just ask my sister.
I hate spammers with a passion!!! I hope they all get cooties and their dogs all run away from home.
You know, I havent had much spam? It’s weird!
I’d be pissed they put me under ‘Aging’!! =) Isn’t that offensive in itself? I swear it’s all from some software that some guy sells. YOu just input your ‘website here’ and click a button. Spam central!
