Haven’t been able to take Cranky’s old site off my sidebar yet–sentimental reasons; but he can be found at the new BIO along with the rest of us; our new diaries for you to keep. We love participation; blue, red, purple, we don’t care; we just want you to be part of the fastest growing political blog on the internet.
Any reader of Courting knows how much we love the Internet as a community and the new BIO reflects that.
I have to be out all day; though my gums would rather stay home and throb; so, we, me and Savannah who doesn’t know she’s a computer and thinks she’s a person, and Toto who doesn’t know she’s an imaginary Golden Retriever, won’t be able to watch this and see if we’re a finalist or not. We’re not a finalist; and we do feel a bit more sad than we thought we would
If not we would like the link back. Kidding; we like how these particular awards emphasise the lesser known blog. And we did take the link back because it’s all a game; we still like the awards intent. We know who we’re voting for.
We know; we have that plug, and many many friends, and are always awed by that. But we don’t get 2,000 hits a day. We have worked very hard to make ourselves a quality blog that we can be proud of. And we enjoy giving you a choice of subjects. Because we know that you, like us, are eclectic, intelligent, and this really was a case of being happy to be nominated by so many of you–well, seven or eight I think, but wow that was wonderful.
You will get my speech regardless if we make the finals or not; but if we don’t we would like to save it for the Academy Awards because we have been reciting that speech since we were two. It’s changed over the years; several years ago we finally came out of denial and realized that it will never be “best actress,” so we now have speeches for both writing awards, and best movie as we would like to produce the movie we write.
Hey this is America; dreams can come true. As they can come true most places in the world. We just really want to thank everybody who reads us, because you have helped us realize that our dream can become a reality. Maybe. Knock on wood; Kinehorah. No, it’s not writing a movie; it’s writing something else! We can’t say as we’re too superstitious.
But first we would like to thank Ally Ducking for Apples; change one letter and it’s the story of my life for writing a post for me, Pia–not the rest of the gang. Ally’s English; how can you not love the title of her blog? Ally’s blog is like comfort food with a great cast of characters, great stories, and great writing. Not going to say the name of the character who cracks me up the most.
Our brain is sleep deprived and the lower jaw pain receptors are working overtime; so we completely forgot to thank Ally this morning. Where are our manners? Have to admit that just thinking about the blogs name make me laugh as does….Well see for yourself.

I didn’t want to go first but…how the hell did “OnBlogging” get on there & not you? I mean, not that that’s a bad effort for what it is but…well, not being a big technophile myself it just sorta made my eyes glaze over in three seconds flat. Well, I suppose the panel is made up of people who ARE technophiles & so actually find that stuff interesting.

I’m not going to be politically correct here. Most of those blogs actually suck at least to me. I know everyone has their own taste and to each his own but some of those blogs are plain friggin ditzi. I of course am a bit of a snob and can’t stand vulgarity unless I am the one being vulgar. I can’t stand stupid pointless posts about nothing and I prefer good writing. There should be blog awards for people who actually have working grey cells.
I am going to say, in case the blog mafia comes after me, I have read the zafook blog and although vulgar it is funny it’s just a little out of my range as it deals often with children and husbands… most of which I have no interest in.
There is no real category for your blog or most of the blogs I read so that makes it hard.

Most awards are just stroke off contests for judges anyway. You get reviewed everyday.
The fact you have loyal and caring readers is more of a win than any graphic could ever be.
