This is the penthouse in the building next door. There was a full moon last night
Took some amazing pictures of magnified snow crystals and drifts. Duh. Not used to my desktop; used to throwing the disc into my laptop port; threw it into some wrong port in my printer.
Fortunately the printer still works. But the disc; well even the magical take a large paper clip apart trick didn’t work. Can’t get angry at myself as it’s so me!
There are only three things to drink and eat on a bona fide snow day: hot chocolate, made from Nestles, not from dark unsweetened cocoa with cinnamon and hot peppers; chocolate chip cookies made from a real mix and any type of soup.
Somehow I don’t think that my phone will do this justice. Hope to go sledding later in Riverside Park with a new fangled sled that can then be used as yoga mat–though I want Miz Boho as my private instructor. Cooper glad you’re feeling better.
My next door neighbors just tried leaving the building. Had to come back in defeat. I’m going bacl to bed. Think I can’t inflict harm on myself or my belongings there. But then I have to look at the snowdrifts and think about how I could have wide angled them–telescoped them–whatever.
Oh gawd, only I can think; need a new disc, let’s upgrade the camera. Stop me!

what a welcome surprise for the city! if only it would snow here….
I’m sooo jealous…
We got a light dusting last night but it was melted by this morning.
So sad… thanks for the props!
lisa and shayna – come to DC and you can have all the snow you want- i’ll let you take it for free. i’m stuck in the house, can’t get my car out. if this were a weekday, i would be happy about it, because this is definitely enough to shut DC down completely. we have a foot. instead, it made sure to dump on us during the weekend. it’s like it was trying to make up for not having a winter this year. oh, pleeease take the snow.
I was all sad that I haven’t seen snow in two years then I remembered the previous 20 years of having to shovel it every winter and I quickly snapped out of it! Great pics though.
I haven’t seen snow in so long it is embarassing to say the number! So, it ain’t happenin’!
Enjoy it while it lasts….
How I would love to be your private instructor! Is that true about those sleds? Wow! Gotta get me one although I don’t know what I’d do with it in Spain! Hmmmm…. ;-P
Hot peppers? Interesting choice. You know my feelings on soup. I’ll take it any season, day or night.:)
Nice pictures, the snow is sweet. Send some my way please, all we got since 2 weeks is rain rain and rain. So much for living in a igloo.
Great pix, Pia. I especially liked the moon shot (oh my!) and the snowflakes.
I’ve never heard of hot chocolate with hot peppers (blech) but you’re absolutely right – it is a must have on a snowy day.
