Am officially on vacation. Will check my email once a day or so, and will try to put in things from the archives that aren’t in the best of–and new posts twice a week. Of course I would put in my meeting with John Gotti post everyday–somethings really wrong when I love meeting a sick mobster so much—but the story is great
Will begin a new blogger “my trip photo blog” so you can see cactus magnified two hundred times. I don’t take normal pictures 🙂
Of course my room’s Internet service isn’t working. They didn’t understand why I didn’t want to change to a first floor room where you can’t keep the shades open. Have to move rooms tomorrow
Will answer comments one day this week—I hope.
Update. Came back to the room and my Internet service was working. Think the signal was weak and after listening to my complaints too many times they zapped it. However my blog went crazy, crazy, crazy. Think it needs a vacation. There a few people I must thank:
Janet. She might have mastered the art of getting by, but more than that she has mastered the art of caring
Steve who is going to be a daddy anytime now. His wife might have had a bit to do do with it 🙂 Steve and I are a great example of two people who began our blogging association fighting, and found though one of us leans to the right and the other to the left, we have more in common than not.
Chris of blogs about–my new hero
If you haven’t joined My Musical Highway Project, you haven’t joined the best new blogroll and community on the Internet. It’s about caring and not being negative. There is so much negativity in the world and in the blogosphere. Together we can do so much. So join!
You will also get a chance to meet Shayna, another of my very very favorite bloggers and people. Shayna amazes me. She seems to have boundless energy and never wastes on freaking about blogs like somebody that I know well, duh yes me of course. Shayna gives much to the world.
And Bone who weighed in just as everything ended, but has always been there. I plug him often because when we first met about a year ago, I loved most of his writing. He’s Southern and I just love Southern writing. Then I noticed how truly kind he is. Wasn’t used to that on the blogosphere to be frank. Couldn’t believe that he was genuine. He was, and I watched how caring and kind he was to people when they needed it most.
This year we got to know each other, and he still talks to me 😉 Bone‘s writing has the potential to be truly great. More often than he thinks it’s excellent, sometimes superior, sometimes not. But always worth reading.
And hey when a person blogs as often as we do, and I’m talking mostly about me here, we have our great, good, mediocre and total bomb days. That’s the glory and the sadness of blogging.
Would like to thank them for their help and/or moral support. I don’t include me in that. As my Mom always said I am my own worst enemy. Am obsessive. No medication ever helped, just behavioral therapy. But I regress under times of stress, and traveling alone, while great, can be stressful. Especially when things go wrong. Excuse me for being weirder than usual. It’s been a weird weekend.
I’m going to begin my vacation! I really just want to go to sleep. Went to sleep at three. The alarm clock went off at 5:30 and then people began knocking on each others doors and talking really loudly. Understand that they wanted to check out or begin their day. But before six AM on a Sunday?
Don’t they know some of us were up most of the night freaking about our blogs? Oh not everybody has a blog or knows about one? What? How 1996.
