Wow, 100 to 150 people? Did you know Jim and Artie Mitchell?

I think a panoramic view of the kitchen would be nice.

And now I'm hungry. And I've never even had hummus.

I hear you, though I'm horribly jealous of your past parties. BG has a "kitchenette" that is just a tiny part of the living room, plus he has no dining table, so dinner is served at the coffee table.

However (hint hint, nudge nudge) the LES coop I'm selling has an eat-in kitchen. A fair number of people renovate by knocking down a wall and making it an open kitchen that flows into the living room/theoretical dining area. Just teasing--I'm sure the LES is not your thing (is it?)

When I watch the real estate porn on the Home and Design channel, I plotz at the size of the kitchens. Most are at least twice as big as the average Manhattan apartment.

Eating out in NYC is great, but yes it can get old I guess, and it's horribly expensive. Anyway, can't wait to see your faux kitchen pix!

I think that one of the reasons this house isn't selling is because of the damn kitchen... I hate it and never again, NEVER AGAIN will I have a small kitchen... I despise that kitchen... LOATHE IT!

Hmmmm.... I wonder if my feelings about small kitchens are clear enough? ;)

Now I really am homesick! Who'd a thunk that one day, saying words like Home Depot and Bed, Bath and Beyond would make me homesick? But there you go!

As for the photoblog, WOOH to your showing us your face! I am honored to have had a peek at your Pialicious self before the photoblog came to be!

Hope you have a good weekend my sweet friend... besos...

NASA, whose experts have becomed skilled at making the most of tight spaces, could probably raise enough revenue designing and outfitting kitchens in Manhattan to fund building a condo complex on Mars.

great rant about your kitchen, I agree, overtime cute becomes demeaning and I too like to have a large kitchen (Mine's too small but larger than yours) as well as a dining room (which I have along with a breakfast room and its still worth way less than your apt).

I need a large kitchen. a tiny one wouldn't cut it for me. In grad school I lived in an apartment with a kitchen which barely existed, I told myself never again. I can deal with a small bathroom but not a small kitchen.
I'm glad you meltdown is over.
I've yet to reach the point where I blog on vacation.
