Bone's got an idea. I bet there are lots of people who are fed up and don't want to take it anymore. Actually, every city I've ever been to it buried in construction, at least in some areas. When I was a kid, I had this idea that someday, the whole world would be "finished." When are they gonna finish building NYC? ha

I feel bad for you and hope it is not a large project.

Are you leaving the city for awhile in June?

ha - i was just going to write a similar post this morning. no need for my alarm clock anymore. the construction across the street starts at an ungodly hour and works its magic to get me up.

I wouldn't like it either.
I hate contruction, dust, and noise.

This post should appear in the Times or something. I'm sure you're not alone. There's got to be tens of you out there in the same boat :)

You nurtured a plant? I had no idea. See? This is why you need your own wikipedia entry. It'd all be in there.

I know what you mean about your surroundings changing. It's crappy when it happens, but there's not much you can do about it.

We live on the corner of an old green, and were perhaps the first of a new generation to move in - we have watched the old people living each side of us die off over the 6 years we have now been there...

The rest of the (not young) green residents are bitter old people who ring the police every time a soccer ball breaks a flower, and stop childrens playgrounds being built by claiming the 5 year olds are shooting up and having sex on the green...

yikes. well, maybe the wood is for someone's interior? in which case it won't be there long, and you won't have to worry about your plants? let's hope so -- i hatehatehate thinking of your view blocked by a bunch of, er, blocks, set there by another bunch of, um, blockheads. d'oh!

the present is a gift you give to yourself -- don't overthink the things you can't control. let someone else shoulder those concerns, while you enjoy all there is to enjoy about living the wonderful life you live, being the even more wonderful you that you are! xox
