America will be a bit safer and a bit noisier now that the four Boho’s are on their way home!!!

I’m not actually sure why America will be a bit safer. I know it will be noisier, in a good sense, and much more fun.

MizzyB, Loverboy and the two little Boho’s have become must reading and video watching our house. Technically my house, but we like to think imaginary family.

People complain about youtube. Until they see a Boho family production. You will never feel the same about a half Iranian/half Scandavian/all American/San Franciscan again, an exasperated but very loving husband, who have an adorable little boy and girl again.

Now that they are leaving for the airport in Spain, the real count down
begins

Here’s one of the greatest American videos, not with the Boho Family in it, but very appropriate for
an American family coming home this week.

It stars two American legends. I met one at an airport lounge and sat two rows ahead of him on the plane, as anybody who reads this blog knows too well.

While I sat two rows ahead of him, I spent much of the ride casually looking back.

I have met rock stars.* Even dated a pretty famous one for most of a year. No, I have never mentioned him here. Don’t talk about the guys I have been with except for Zachary, and a bit about my Prince Charming, who truly is, in some ways.

He owned a club and was a music editor for a major paper. Met so many people I became a bit jaded. Not only through him but friends, and uh, not through my father who kept me from sure death or addiction or sexual something in his mind.

But this, airport and plane not real meeting, this was rock & roll history. I might forget Cancun, but I will never forget the flight to Atlanta. It was a high point for everybody on the flight. More people than I have ever seen just had to use the front lavatory

Research, I had to do extensive research for this post. And it takes a lot for me to put something in with Jay Leno. I’m a Letterman person.

The USA is great. That’s the whole damn problem. We all love it, but are one frigging dysfunctional family.

*The part of this post about rock stars I have known wasn’t a plug for my book. I was too young. Except that year was the first, but not the last time my father kept me from meeting some non-American legends.

The first time he kept me from meeting people I would have done everything short of killing my father to meet when I was seventeen, is in the book. I got my revenge that very night.

He kept me from meeting some more, to youthful liking, rock legends** I love him anyway and consider the stories to be an amazing gift. Though I know my father didn’t mean it that way. He just heard a name, turned white and….The night turned out to be great anyway

**Not so youthful anymore. One might say a few are almost late.

My apartment is freezing; something just dropped off the window. This isn’t good for four hours before the fireworks. Not that I planned to go.

It would be really nice if they did something in the Hudson River but then they would have to tangle with Jersey. Not that there’s anything wrong….

I’m just so excited they’re finally coming home. The saga has been long and filled with surprises.
