I loved Dan Fogelberg, and was sad to hear of his passing. His songs were always touching, and beautifully sung.

Oh Pia, so happy that you stopped by. Thank you and here's wishing you a wonderful and happy 2008, I am sure moving will be difficult...esp. from a place you have known for so long... but change is inevitable and I am sure you will love it when you finally get down to it. Here's wishing you the very best of change life can offer.

Though I could finally do laundry and no longer have to walk around in old clothes I somehow didn’t give away and normally would never wear.

I think that whole funnier thing is already coming to fruition :)

And I discourage everyone from resolving to work out more, especially if that means running/walking in my park. It's crowded enough already. If you must work out, stay home. Do Taebo or Hip Hop Abs or Richard Simmons or something.

Thank you for providing me with a platform. Happy New Year, Pia.

Happy New Year Pia! You've described perfectly my feelings for Dan Fogelberg. He reminds me of a very particular time in my life which wasn't particularly good, but it was all part of the learning experience. And I'm laughing at Doug - it's often that way.

I love that 77th St. flea market - the last time I was there, it was about 100 degrees so that wasn't too fun.

Anyway, good luck on the move. You have so many friends in NYC that you're really not leaving. Who says you're not funny, I know I chuckled during this post!

Happy New Year. I was introduced to Dan Fogelberg a long time and only around Derby Day would I hear anything by him. Earlier this year I stubled across a double CD (I typed album and had to back space!!) Home Free and Souvenirs. I popped it in and was immediatley transported back in time. I only saw him in concert once.

Good luck with your apartment sale and leaving NYC.

Happy New Year Pia--A true Southern New Year meal would be black eyed peas, greens and cornbread--which is what I'll make this evening. Most Southerners will eat collard greens, but I prefer kale or turnip greens. Yesterday, in this little hamlet, I couldn't find any greens so reckon I'll have to have boiled cabbage instead. Also, get us to hearing, "I reckon!"

Happy New Year, Pia. Dan Fogelberg annoyed me in life, but I miss him now.

Oh I know the stress of it all so well... all we can do is take it one breath at a time and day by day, step by step... though it's much easier said than done, I know!

May 2008 hold nothing but the most wondrous dreams come true for you my dear friend!

Happy New Year and mucho love...
