If you always knew you had problems, and had to figure out what they were on your own as medical science wasn't ready for you, when you found out the name of your problems and more about them, would you rush to say you're disabled?
Would you reframe your life story?
Or try to keep it as honest and true to your memories as you could?
I'm writing a memoir, and taking the later road as my life has always been interesting and fun.
I had the longest youth in America. It lasted from the late 60's through the 80's.
My "disability" non verbal learning disorder (NLD) is invisible.
So people think I should have been super successful and made mega bucks.
Success to me can be as small as getting the side bar of my blog to work. And as big as I can dream!
Self-Promotion
I made my own comments on the debate–several times I thought Obama was going down the right direction, but he never followed, he always seemed to pull up a little short. Neither of them knows what’s going on economically–I wished they’d at least admit to it. That said, Obama did much better than McCain.
That debate format stunk, no follow-up and all. I was pleased and always love it when pundits say it is tied and the people say otherwise.
