Marinade Dave–Caylee Anthony
Marinade Dave (Dave Knechel) was one of my early close blogging friends. Dave goes to the Casey Anthony trial–her daughter Caylee was brutally murdered and blogs about it. His blog has become a sensation. I’m a true crime junkie and fascinated by it. But lately he’s been getting some horrible comments. Knowing a …lot about horrible comments I wrote a post for it–and you get to see my old blog template!

In view of your response to my question in the comments section after your last post are you aware that Mr Knechel did just that?
Pia – unfortunately for you – you’re going to see some of the very same folks that have made it their mission and agenda 24/7 to hate Dave as either a full-time job or a full-time hobby. Dave and I have had our disagreements in the past but I do appreciate his writing skills and the content of the blogs that focus on relevant topics. So hopefully you’re up for a few comments that will come across as very unsophisticated and, well, just plain obsessed.
lilyolily thanks
The comments that are coming in are obsessive. I changed my mind. As I stated in my post my blog isn’t covered under the First Amendment so I can do what I want with them
It feels as if some people have too much time and enjoy taking screen shots of comments–as I can’t see the comments they’re in response to I’m not going to put them in my blog
I have learned a lot in the past couple of years and one big lesson is that life’s too short to spend in comment battles
WOW.
Let the cover up begin.
It’s okay, The word about the real Knechel is already out there.
I bet you did not know what was coming your way.
@tulpjes
What are you? A cyber bully? I don’t scare easily and will delete any future comments by you
oh Lord that site is enough to give anyone a nervous breakdown. Great post though Pia.
I have a comment policy now, in order to keep me calm. I delete anything that I don’ like. Works for me. But then again I’m not trying to be a crime reporter or journalist. I imagine I would have to keep comments if I needed that kind of credibility.
@cooper
I love true crime and Dave was one of the first people I met–BC–before Cooper
I’ve been deleting since about six months after that lack of a moral center post and am a much saner (relatively) and happier person
I miss your old layout and enjoyed reading your post over there. I haven’t read his blog, but I’ll check it out. But “true crime” isn’t my favorite genre.
@Gracie34
Just inquiring as whether you will answer my question?
I don’t answer comments when the person has sent me three comments in less than 24 hours. I will delete any further ones
Hi, Pia! There are a lot of OC types out there, gunning for Dave, as I know you know. Funny how much they leave out of the narration…
Nice sandbox, btw, and I especially appreciate your Northern take on things here in SC! Me, I’m in the Upstate, which is its own special place…
Hey, 11 is my lucky number. And I see I’ve been “given” my toothy gravatar that I had at Dave’s when he left the abstract designs and got these aliens for a short time! I guess they follow you around, mine looks viscous!
Blogging is 13 years old?!?! Do you know what I was doing 13 years ago?!?! Me either, exactly, but blogging wasn’t it.
Chatting on ICQ probably was. Oh those were the days.
@lilyolily
Hi, lily! Still up?
@TC
ICQ? A term from what seems the distant past. It was one of the things that along with AOL chat would crash my computer. But I did know a couple who met on ICQ, conducted their romance on it, met in person on a TV show, and have been happily married for the past ten or more years. So TC…..
Translation I have no good excuse for why Dave posted an innocent man’s name with a story & photo of a registered sexual offender. So I’ll pretend that I don’t answer those who are ‘obsessive’ and ask the question more than once..lol..you are funny…and blatantly transparent.
@pia
@Gina
Dave explained that story to me. I don’t chose to rehash it here. I don’t answer obsessive comments–and any further comments you make will be deleted
