As Destiny doesn’t come calling

Happy holidays

Just took down a post that I loved but was so not in the spirit of the season.

Blogging, and meeting so many wonderful people has been an incredible gift. But I still want diamonds.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kawanza

and keep the Festivus pole going.

There is so much more to be said but I shall save it for five embarrassing things about me.

Oh you thought that was going to be my gift to you?

During the week; Hanukkah last eight nights; and if I keep this up I might even learn to spell it. And my best friends exchange gifts on January 6, Three Kings Day.

The season is just beginning; and I like exchanging New Years greetings; if we can all agree on the same day and same holiday. Otherwise, wake me up in 2006

Not even all of us agree on New Years, you know… A few years ago I was in Korea for the Oriental New Year (about the same time as our Superbowl that year).

Have a wonderful set of holidays and even if you don’t believe in Santa, may he bring you everything you wanted and more! Blessings to you Pia.

Merry Christmas, Pia! It’s a busy time, indeed. I’ve missed so many wonderful posts here and other places…can’t read fast enough.

I agree that Doug’s blogs are mighty awesome. All that, and a former foster dad, too…telling stories is a luxurious art form. Just misspelled a word. You do a great job here, and I’ll be back. Happy all-holidays:)

Happy Festivus, Pia. Finally an ideology (or at least a pole) I can embrace ;-)

Happy Hanukkah, Pia! That was a nice nod to Doug. There’s no contesting that you’ve both inspired me, and I’m happy to have made such great blogger buddies in you both. :)

January 6th is Epiphany! The historic twelfth day of Christmas, when the celebrating ‘officially’ ends. Kinda like Mardi Gras, it’s the day you really party. Funny how all holidays mirror each other. That old Roman calendar still rules the world! So I hope you have a happy time, sweetie – remember to light a candle just for yourself – you deserve it!

Maybe for New Years we should use the more inclusive “pleasant schedule” wish. Get back to me on it.

I made it home in time for the Festivus airing of grievances. Always fun. :)

    Hope your holidays are jolly.
