As Destiny doesn’t come calling

When you live in Manhattan the only way to stay is to leave

It’s true. Frequent breaks are needed.

RABBIT RABBIT–I know that should be first but it didn’t fit. If you say RABBIT RABBIT first thing on the first of the month, you’re assured a good month. Maybe.

Happy May Day! That’s in honor of all Savage Women in my family as our grandmother, great grandmother and in one remaining case, mother thought May Day was America’s national holiday.

I love May as long as it doesn’t rain

I saw Heroes last night. When they showed New York bombed in the not too distant future, I first thought it in very poor taste. Then I thought why not? Uh, 9/11?

So I must be over it. But I don’t want to be. I did feel a bit more fear than I would have pre-9/11. I assume that they were making a point by bombing New York. It was unsettling.

I know life goes on and doesn’t and all that, but as the Virginia Tech killings might influence a genre of violent films, 9/11 does live in our hearts. Most of us are over it, mostly, but that was a gross and horrible reminder.

My Sally Brompton horoscope:

ay 1, 2007 — The harder you have to work for something the more you will appreciate it. The approaching full moon takes place in your fellow Water sign of Scorpio, so even if you are facing a difficult few days something good is sure to come out of it. No effort is ever wasted. No sacrifice goes unrewarded.

Sure. I hope

I love May as well. Spring is, like Fall, a favorite time of year for me.

Rabbit Rabbit! Well selfishly, I hope your horoscope comes true…for us both!

I remember May day as a kid, making up little baskets of flowers and dropping them off at my grandma’s after knocking and then running and hiding.

    *sigh*

    I miss those days sometimes.

    may day
    was huge
    in my mother country
    former communists
    came out to goosstep
    and show their “muscle”
    and in the end
    the wall crumbled.

    Happy may Day for sure.

I forgot it was May, and I don’t mind May rain but in the city it is a bit nastier than in the burbs.

You Savage women… any excuse to celebrate, I tell ya.

    Hey, I have a joke:
If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring?

    Pilgrims.
