I'm Back

February 11, 2005 By pia

In less than a week, Lisa of www.elegantwebscapes.com did what my former designer couldn’t do in two months!

I probably shouldn’ t be allowed near a computer. I can’t even wear watches as the battery will die within a week. And I’m not talking about the $10 ones you can pick up on a street corner. I thought my pulse was high and had it checked but it turned out to be on the low side.

It’s something to do with electric currents. I’m usually interested in anything especially if it has to do with me, but that’s one thing that I can live without knowing more about.

I go through telephones as if they’re disposable. Currently my cordless doesn’t like the number “1.” As that’s the most used number, it does present problems. My cell has been working fine for seven months—hope I didn’t just jinx it.

There are a few people I have to thank. And I have to get my blogroll in order. Then I actually have to write.

It’s going to take me a few days as Lisa delivered so fast and so wonderfully that I’m in shock . No longer used to people keeping their promises and more!

Today I have to work on other things; and tomorrow I get to spend the day with the best ten year old in the world–fave niece who is a bona-fide certified teenager.

Yes I know the pin-up is provacative. I thought that my blog should reflect the many facets of me. And lately it seems like Bush-Republicans think that we liberals (whatever that means) spend our lives eating soy and wearing the worst of the hippie cliche clothes. Not.

Thanks for the comments. If I haven’t replied, I will.

It feels so good to have a blog that I like.

My older sister’s the same way. She’s been through many watches and she kills the electronics. I think it’s funny. She doesn’t.

About Me

I live in the South, not South Florida, a few blocks from the ocean, and two blocks from the main street. It's called Main Street. Amazes me too.

I'm from New York. I mostly lived in the Mid-Upper East Side, and the heart of the Upper West Side. It amazes me when people talk about how scared they were of Times Square in the 1970's and 1980's.

As my mother said: "know the streets, look out and you'll be fine."

What was scary was the invasion of the crack dens into "good buildings in good 'hoods." And the greedy landlords who did everything they could to get good tenants out of buildings.

I'm a Long Island girl, and proud of it now.
Then I hated everything about the suburbs. Yet somehow I lived in a few great Long Island Sound towns after high school.
