Yes, yes, yes, yes, four out of five counts ain't bad

March 6, 2007 By pia

More than three years after a White House spokesman maintained that “if anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration,” Cheney and Rove steadfastly refuse to comment on the investigation.

Truly sad. I hope I’m still here when the truth comes out because I think it might not happen for decades.

Since the Libby jury took so long I knew that they had to be heading toward convictions.

This court ruling means so much to so many people in so many different ways. As a “liberal” blogger, it’s pure vindication.

Only thing is Rove’s still in the game. It’s horrible to contemplate what would be beneath Karl Rove.

I am disappointed in the new Congress. They act like Bush, Cheney or probably Rove has blackmail material on them.

Don’t they get it? They no longer have to fear the wrath of the radical right. They’re reduced to their proper place Or should be.

We’re so used to their warped version of reality that a vaccination that could cure a condition as common as the common cold is being discussed, when every state should mandate it. Cervical cancer is deadly. The vaccine isn’t.

We have spun so far off track I know teenage girls who equate sex with cigarette smoking. I would nevr want kids to be the puta I was, but I want them to understand that sex can be something wonderful

Do we really care what James Dobson thinks? Only takes one partner for a person to get Genital HPV

I wrote the other day about Viet Nam vets. The VA didn’t have facilities or programs for them. That’s a disgrace. Don’t let Iraq become another Viet Nam in any way. If we support our troops we have to give them good medical care.

Seems like the government can tell us we’re not patriotic if we don’t support the war, and we’re supposed to talk about how we support them at all times. The government is supposed to both assure their safety while in Iraq, and provide proper medical care for them when they’re injured, and support services after discharge.

Right on! Libby jury. Here’s hoping that we learn from this and quickly formulate a plan to get out of Iraq.

I agree, Pia. It’s like a cycle of abuse. Both Republicans and Democrats are still scared of a base that’s changed and, I suspect, improved.

“It’s horrible to contemplate what would be beneath Karl Rove.” isn’t your best line ever but it’s not bad either.

yes, yes, 4 of 5 is not bad at all. guilty on both counts of perjury and obstruction so it’s same as guilty of all.

bet karl rove and dickless cheney peed their pants upon hearing the announcement.

Four out of five for the sacrificail lamb, better than nothing but no where near good enough.
That and the democrats are embarrassing themselves in congress right now.

I am not going to worry about it any longer. ;0 ha – just like you aren’t going to blog about it…not going to happen.

God the Walter Reed thing is opening a can or worms that so badly needs to be open.

I predict that sometime between November 2008 and January 2009, Bush will pardon Libby

hear! hear! my favorite aspect of the verdict (aside from the “Guilty on 4 counts” part, that is) was in the way the various new organizations reported it. most were very matter of fact, as were their experts — with the exception of, of course, FOXNEWS-BUT-NOT-REALLY, whose experts were oh-so-sure of an appeal and/or overturned verdict, down the road. i hate them. and that jerk they work for. no, not Roger Aisles and/or Rupert Murdoch… that other guy, the one who lives in that big White House, in DC.

that said, i SO hope sage is wrong in predicting a pardon. talk about adding insult to injury. yeesh. xox

About Me

I live in the South, not South Florida, a few blocks from the ocean, and two blocks from the main street. It's called Main Street. Amazes me too.

I'm from New York. I mostly lived in the Mid-Upper East Side, and the heart of the Upper West Side. It amazes me when people talk about how scared they were of Times Square in the 1970's and 1980's.

As my mother said: "know the streets, look out and you'll be fine."

What was scary was the invasion of the crack dens into "good buildings in good 'hoods." And the greedy landlords who did everything they could to get good tenants out of buildings.

I'm a Long Island girl, and proud of it now.
Then I hated everything about the suburbs. Yet somehow I lived in a few great Long Island Sound towns after high school.
