I was sick Sunday night through Monday, and couldn’t get out of bed so I didn’t think anything of it when I couldn’t sleep Tuesday night. Last night though….
Lucia told me I sounded like a basket case, to go to bed, and not to speak to anybody in person, on phone or in any computer related way, as people would think that I was a “raving lunatic.” Fortunately for her I didn’t follow her advice.
I’m in South Carolina. She called from NY about two hours ago:
Go to the computer. I have an appointment. Nobody’s here.”
“Lucia, stop screaming. You sound like a madwoman.”
“Nobody’s here. I can’t believe it. I was only ten minutes late for my appointment….find out what hours they’re open.”
The name she had me look up? The New York Sleep Institute. Maybe I’m sleep deprived. Well yeah I am but…
You’re in South Carolina? That’s right near here.
It’s an odd wired world we live in, calling someone five states away to have them google something across the island.
Oy my dear… I feel for ya… sleep deprivation is beyond horrible… When I had Lil’ Mischief I refused help at night for a month which meant I averaged 2 hours of sleep, in spurts at that, every night for 30 days. Loverboy finally begged me to please let him help, not for my sake, but for his because he could no longer stand me! Oy vey!
Get some melatonin and just sleep it off!!! I owe you an email… it has been a little nutty and, well, sleep deprived here too but I thought that for now I would pop in and send you oh so muchos besos!
Hope you get some sleep, Pia!
Get some sleep.
Awww… chica, I had the flu two weeks ago, so I can definitely empathize. Still trying to recover my lost sleep. My caffeine addiction ain’t helping 🙁
Lol, I’d call the LongDistance Googling strange, but my family does that to me all the time. My dad once called to read a web site to me, because he couldn’t figure out how to email a link.
