Courting is seven on August 13th; Old enough to think for itself

August 12, 2011 By pia

See my newest post at Psychology Today! It’s the fifteenth and probably the best. Or not.
As Courting, not I, is doing the thinking it wanted truly stupid pictures of my garden! And the weird (to me) growths are rose hips. Live and always learn!

Happy Birthday Courting! I never knew that 7 was old enough to think for one’s self. I have an opinion on everything, but I do that without thinking much.

Love the garden photos! Good thinking!

Happy bloggiversary! I still remember when I was afraid to comment here. Now I’m afraid not to 😉 Kidding.

Did we ever figure out the conversion rate for blog years to human years?

Good gardening, Pia. Keep it up.

Sorry I’m late. Happy blogday. I’m glad you’ve kept it going this long, and that you’ve got a place where you can grow a garden, even if it’s way the hell over in South Carolina.

Living in Myrtle Beach, as you do, I’m sure you’ll take up the game of golf. I one time hit a “hole in one” by accident, but not in MB. That was the time at the golf course in the Hudson Valley (near the Borscht Belt) in the 1990s.

My favorite yummy thing about the Low Country is what one can do with a can of Old Bay Seasoning (and a fresh lime.)

Seven years is a long time. Mozel tov!

About Me

I live in the South, not South Florida, a few blocks from the ocean, and two blocks from the main street. It's called Main Street. Amazes me too.

I'm from New York. I mostly lived in the Mid-Upper East Side, and the heart of the Upper West Side. It amazes me when people talk about how scared they were of Times Square in the 1970's and 1980's.

As my mother said: "know the streets, look out and you'll be fine."

What was scary was the invasion of the crack dens into "good buildings in good 'hoods." And the greedy landlords who did everything they could to get good tenants out of buildings.

I'm a Long Island girl, and proud of it now.
Then I hated everything about the suburbs. Yet somehow I lived in a few great Long Island Sound towns after high school.
